Rupee Ends At 39.45 Against Dollar

Mumbai: The rupee strengthened by 10 paise to close at 39.44/ 45 against the greenback on Dec 24, backed by good dollar selling throughout the day. The home currency opened at 39.46/48 and saw an intra-day high of 39.43 on dollar selling, before ending the day at 39.44/45, up from the previous close of 39.54/55. In forwards, the six-month premia closed at 1.69 per cent (1.53 per cent) and the 12-month closed at 1.25 per cent (1.15 per cent).
