Rupee Ends At 39.42 Against Dollar

Mumbai: The rupee rose slightly against the dollar tracking the gains in the stock market. It opened at 39.41/42, reached an intra-day high of 39.38 and ended the day at 39.41/42, against the previous close at 39.44/45. Market participants said that low volumes on account of the year-end will keep the rupee in the range of 39.38 and 39.44. In forwards, the 6-month closed at 1.88 per cent (1.69) and the 12-month ended at 1.37 per cent (1.25).
