Pensioners To Be Paid Enhanced DA

Pensioners of the territorial government would be paid an enhanced dearness relief (DR) retrospectively from July 1 this year, official sources said. This is in keeping with the decision the Central government had taken for its pensioners and family pensioners.

The Finance Department of Puducherry Administration has issued an order sanctioning 41 percent rate of deareness relief to the pensioners of the territorial government. The increase is by six percent as had been decided by the Central government. The hike had been effected to compensate the rise in cost of living.
