Haryana Seeks Rs 126.48 Bn From WB

The World Bank will send a multi-sector team to Haryana later this month to assess the state government''s request for a Rs.126.48 billion assistance for infrastructural development, water supply, sanitation and power projects. The Haryana government Friday submitted proposals to the World Bank officials at a meeting in Washington. Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, who is visiting the US, led the state delegation. The World Bank team will study a project, worth Rs.58.88 billion, for developing highways and creating high-speed corridors, besides proposals for civic amenities like water, sanitation, sewerage, lighting and solid waste management.
